wohoo,
If you read the title of this post you might think that this will be a melancholy, somehow sad/romantic type of writings and whatnot. Well, I don't know about that, but I personally think it's not.
Well, it's just that, these past few weeks around the holiday I've been spending time a lot with the former iServ guys and wage battle after battle (mainly DotA). But around three days ago we decided to dedicate the day to wage a war on Age of Empires to test our wit and strategy of managing a whole army.
What does it have anything to do with any nostalgic stuff??
Well, Age of Empires (AoE) was quite an old games. I have been playing it since, like, junior high school and vacuumed for like whole 5 years after that because there were actually no decent opponent to challenge me (MBWAHAHAHHAH). Playing it again one of these days brought back a lot of sensation inside of me. I recalled the old times at high school when chivalry was more or less one of the main principle I held. Loyalty, pride, and honor resided withing me so much.
I might have been turned into a more wicked, sinister, mischievous, and other bad things I could think of in these past years behind. But, coming back into the field of battle, facing your opponent putting your pride at stake might have brought back those sensation I had lost long time ago.
Which...brought us here, and now. Six days before the Battle of Pride VS Money: Winner Takes All!!!
Well, if you haven't know already, we iServ guys usually taunted and trashtalked so much before and after any game. Well, after the last battle of AoE in which the configuration as follows:
Me and Oz
vs
Ill and Ade
was won by Me and Oz, my ally started to taunt Ill saying how he never won anymore in both DotA and AoE because the declining of his skills. Of course, Ill didn't just stand there and swallow all those trash talk just like that. He argued that his ally (Ade) wasn't aggressive enough to help him when the big battle came. I forgot who started it, but it seemed that one of them came up the the idea of switching allies. Well, here's the more or less of what they talked about:
Oz : "Dude, so like, you always loose now both in AoE and DotA? I think your skills are diminishing dude!"
Ill : (whining)"Dude, My ally wasn't aggressive enough. It's hard to win when your ally doesn't provide you enough army to defend and attack!"
(the idead of switching allies came up)
Ill : "Dude, I'll do anything you ask me if you win when you're allied with Ade!"
Oz : "Okay dude, it's a deal then!"
Gilang : "Ow mai gaaattt..."
Tom : (chuckles)
Ade : "lalalalaaaa..."
Ill : "But if I win, you pay me 50k! (Ill thinks: plus I get to mock you big times!)"
Oz : "Deal then! (Oz thinks: Dude, you're so dead. You got yourself a bad bet, wohoo!)"
Ill : "Deal!"
(Oz and Ill shakes hand)
Tom : (chuckles)
Ade : "lalalalalaaaa..."
Gilang : "Ow mai gaaatttt, dudeeeee..."
And so that was it. One week from that day was decided to be the big day for the big battle. I guess it was tense for everyone. As of for me, I'm just gonna put up a good fight. See you on the battlefield...
All hail King of the Losers...!
